With over three decades of leadership experience, I focus my leadership coaching practice on developing the next generation of leaders in companies with creativity and innovation at their core.
My coaching approach is organic, not academic. I use my own real-world experience to help you grow as a leader, solve problems, and maximize opportunity. I believe strongly that personal coaching is not successful if it cannot be practically applied and operationalized. As a former leader, I have empathy for the day-to-day realities you face.
To generate inputs into my process of working with clients, I use a number of sources. I look at your existing performance evaluations and any input on specific leadership qualities captured in employee satisfaction surveys. I also believe in a stringent 360 interview process including your direct reports and colleagues. This 360 feedback is not necessarily limited to your current position. Wherever possible and appropriate, I seek feedback from prior colleagues. I highly value your own self-assessment of your strengths and weaknesses as well.
It is also important to understand the criteria your company uses to define a successful leader. This information provides important context for knowing the environment in which you are leading. I will use real-world examples from your past or current experience to help you identify successful leadership responses. Role-playing is key to my coaching style. I also strive to identify improvements in your leadership by conducting periodic 360 assessments.
